Idea Description
Televised News Broadcast part I
Recruit a number of volunteers equal to the number of TV channels that are active in your area. Equip each with a TV set. Actually, you could have them do volunteer work in eight hour shifts by making the number of volunteers recruited equal to three times the number of TV channels on the local airwaves.
Each volunteer holds a device with a knob and selector switch with about a dozen or so positions. Each position is marked on the device by some friendly short easy to remember moniker such as "spwrc" or "nwz". The device has output modulated on a dozen or so nicely spaced CATV channels.
Out of fairness to advertizers, there wouldn't be channels for commercials only or noncommercials only. A commercial for a future news show might go in the "nwz" channel, or a commercial featuring a famous athlete might go in "spwrc".
A volunteer's assignment is to make the switch position reflect what is on the TV screen.
